Forth Valley Orienteers usurped rivals Mar OC from their position of dominance in Scottish Junior Orienteering at todays Jamie Stevenson Trophy.
The JST - Scottish version of the Yvette Baker Trophy - was held in Pitmedden Forest, Fife by the Scottish Junior Squad. Teams from 11 of Scotland's 20 clubs competed for the prestigious title.
On the day there was no stopping FVO who dominated the event winning 4 of the 8 courses and only dropping 3 points in the others to score 597 out of a possible 600. One of their winners is the notable Jamie Stevenson who is looking to follow in his namesakes footsteps!
Holders Maroc finished second with 592 points while their local rivals Gramp took third. The small borders club Roxburgh Reivers took fourth with a team of only 6 runners from two families! It was their James Tullie who won the senior boys course ahead of Duncan Coombs.
