MDOC Stockport Charity Score Course + Urban League
As well as the usual Urban League Courses Manchester and district orienteering Club are planning a SAcore Course visiting sites in Stockport's Historic town Centre. This is in aid of St Ann's Hospice (www.sah.org.uk), the major hospice in the Greater Manchester area. Entry is only £2.00 with £1.00 going to St Ann's.
It is hoped competitors will raise sponsorship for their run/walk. Full details and sponsorship forms can be found at www.mdoc.org.uk
There are prizes and medals for the top finishers. Any 3 individuals can form a team and compete for The Robinson Trophy and individual mementoes.
Stockport has lots of free parking near assembly, start and finish as well as good public transport links. It is only 5/10 minutes walk from the bus/rail stations.
Make it a family day out, keen O-types enter an Urban League Course and the rest of the family try the Score Course. Stockport has many historic attractions, good shops, cafes, pubs and entertainment complexes.
