PWT round seven
Johan Näsman and Simone Niggli-Luder made it three wins in a row and in doing so secured the overall Park World Series titles on Saturday. The 7th, and penultimate race, of the PWT series was held in Suzhou Amusement Park near Shanghai, China. With Johan Näsman (SWE) starting last, Øystein Kvaal Østerbø (NOR) had a nervous wait until the end. But the nerves were warranted as he was pushed into 2nd by 11seconds by Johan. Marius Bjugan (NOR) completed the top three with an improved run from race 6 earlier in the week. Great Britains Nick Barrable ended up in 6th place only 39seconds of the winner with a time of 13.00 for 2.8km.
Simone Niggli-Luders (SUI) win means she continues her unbeaten record in this PWT series in every race she has competed in. She absolutely blasted round the 2.8km course in a time of 14.20 and won with a 31second gap from Sarah Rollins (GBR). The Brits' 2nd place means she regains her second place overall from Anne Margrethe Hausken (NOR) who finished 3rd in Saturdays race as well as going 3rd overall. The other British interest in the womens race, Helen Bridle, finished in 8th place.
