PWT round eight

The final round of this years Park World Tour was fought out in the Hongkou Peace Park in China's second largest city, Shanghai.

In the men's race Finn Mars Haldin was the winner from Ukraine's Yuri Omeltchenko. The two were seperated by a mere seven seconds showingt he excitment that park racing can generate. The next three places were taken by members of the new sprint order Øystein Kvaal Østerbø of Norway was third, Damien Renard of France was fourth followed by his compatriot Nicolas Grisch. The British interest in the men's was once again held by Nick Barrable who finished 54 seconds down on Haldin in 14th place.

In the womens race once again no one good be close to the Queen of Park World Tour in 2004, Simone Niggli Luder winning six of the six races she started in the 2004 Park world Tour. Anne Margrethe Hausken of Norway was second and Lena Eliasson was third gaining her first PWT podium position. Good results came from the two Brits in the women's race with Sarah Rollins and Helen Bridle both challanging for podium places in fourth and fifth.
