wc :: Middle results
The final race of the weekend was held today and Thierry Gueorgiou 'the middle distance master' has been dethroned! Russia's two time JWOC champion Andrei Khramov has taken the middle distance title in a time of 31.57. Gueorgiou finished in 2nd with just 7secs the difference. Jani Lakanen came in 3rd for Finland.
Jon Duncan was GB's best mens result of the day just missing out on a top 20 positon finishing in 21st. Oli Johnson also did well placing 24th.
Simone Niggli-Luder had to settle for 2nd place for two days in a row. This time it was Swedens Jenny Johansson who took the victory. Minna Kauppi took bronze to add to her relay gold.
The GB women again performed well. Heather Monro had another top 10 finish placing in 8th, Helen Winskill finished 13th with Sarah Rollins & Rachael Elder not far behind in 17th & 21st places respectively. Toni O'Donovan, flying the flag for irish female orienteers, finished in an impressive 23rd place.
