pwt :: race 1
The first Park World Tour of 2006 took place in the heart of Palermo, Sicily, Italy today. In the Womens class it was Swedish victory by Kajsa Nilsson. Claire Ward showed that the training in her new home of Hallsberg, Sweden (remember the mud-bath Oringen in 2000?) is coming into fruition with a solid 5th place. Last years overall winner Dana Brozkova was the favourite but after some mistakes in thesecont part of the race she finally came in the fourth place.
In the Mens class David "BJ" Brickhill-Jones couldn't repeat his win from the qualifying round and finished 4th behind the Danish runner Christian Nielsen. PWT stalwart Nick Barrable finished in 8th place with junior Scott Fraser further down the field.
