oringen :: the story so far...
Another year and the masses gather in sweden to form the biggest festival week of orienteering in the world - The Swedish O Ringen. This year the venue is a swelteringly hot Hälsingland with the organsiors making life easy for the competitors and having the races within walking/cycling distance to the event village. As usual there is a strong travelling contingent from the islands of Great Britain and Ireland including the Scottish Junior Squad, from whom have produced one of the stars of the week so far, Hollie Orr. Running D18L Hollie currently leads the way from Swedens Malin Welen. Another Top Brit (although sweden are trying to claim him) is Ray Ward who is also leading his class after two 2nds and a 1st so far.
