woc :: long qualification
Today saw the second WOC race, the qualification round for the Long distance.
Great Britain had another successful day with five out of six runners qualifying for Wednesday's final. Oli Johnson was the only casualty, by virtue of a mis-punch.
In the mens A heat Jamie Stevenson finished in 4th, 2:20 behind Jani Lakanen of Finland who won by a clear 2 minutes while Jon Duncan (pictured) finished 6th.
In Women B Alison qualified comfortably in 7th place, 5:30 behind current champion Simone Niggli. It wasnt quite as comforable for the other girls though, Jenny had a nailbiting wait until she was confirmed as 15th, while Rachael was 13th.
Check back later for reports from the event, once Eddie and Wattok return from the event.
