Irish Champs
2004 IRISH
ORIENTEERING CHAMPIONSHIPS
This weekend it is the Dingle Peninsula, County Kerry that host the Irish Orienteering Championships 2004. Due to the clash with the 0007 and the rearranged British relay championships, numbers travelling from the UK are expected to be low. The top irish junior and senior orienteers are expected though as it an manditory race for selection to EOC, JWOC and WOC teams. This year sees the addition of an Irish Sprint Championships as well as the Individual and Relay Championships. It is promised to be some top orienteering as all three of the areas being used are open sand dunes which will test all competitors both technically and physically and make for some interesting racing.
