Harvester Relay venue change
This year’s Harvester Relay was due to be run by EBOR, but due to the loss of the proposed area, HALO have stepped in to take up the event at the 11th hour. Although no definite decision has been made yet, it is proposed to be held at Pillar Woods, the setting for last year’s Compass Sport Cup Final. If this is confirmed, then the relay will be a fast-paced spectacle event, as the forest is a true example of a runnable forest. Last year’s winning times at the CSC Final were fast, with a handful of runners getting under 5min/km.
There may also be a sprint race being held on the Saturday (the relay starting just after midnight on a very early Sunday morning) in the Leeds area to make the trip worthwhile.
