Averyren 5 day
The official 5 day was cancelled for 2005, but an
unofficial one has taken its place, called the
Aveyron 5 days, and promises to be a good do.

It runs from the 9th - 14th July (6 days - the first
event on the 9th was added later). Deadline for the
cheapest entries is 7th May.
The areas are on the Plateau de Larzac, in southern
France - generally fast limestone plateau with lots of
rock detail, a favourite with the top frenchmen.
Then there's a day's rest before a rare chance to run
on one of France's most famous areas at Le Caylar,
"Le Bal de Rochers", (weekend 16/17 July). The map
is currently being updated and is just a mile or two
down the road from the five day areas. Fast limestone
plateau again, with strange towering rocks all around.
