Unfortunately the SROC National Event and World Ranking Event at Whitbarrow Scar has had to follow the JOK chasing sprint and be cancelled due to the adverse weather conditions.
From the SROC website:
'It is with regret that the Whitbarrow National Event has had to be cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience that this will cause. We have tried to make as early a decision as possible whilst at the same time waiting for the weather conditions to hopefully improve.
One of the main problems (but not the only one) is that Whitbarrow Fell is still under large amounts of snow. The weather conditions at the moment although not snowing, are still very cold and the thaw is slow going which could result in snow still covering limestone rock on Sunday. This would make the conditions underfoot unsafe as there are grykes and holes in the rock.
We would like to thank all team leaders / helpers for all their efforts that have gone into the event so far.
It is our intention to hold the event at a later date and this will be conveyed on our web site once permissions / calendar dates have been sorted out.
Once again our apologies for inconvenience caused.'

Full details & intended re-arrangement of this fixture will be found on the SROC Website.
