BOF have recieved word from the sports councils with details of the funding arrangements for the coming year.

A UK Sport panel have recommended a slight increase in funding levels: likely due to the increased cost of sending athletes to Japan for WOC 2005 preparation. This descision has yet to be confirmed in hard cash but is very promising.

Sport England will continue to fund the squad at the current levels.

This means BOF will be fully supporting teams for all major internationals this year: World Students, Junior and Senior World Champs,
European Champs, JEC and the World Cup Finals.

Derek Allison, BOF Performance Director said this is 'good news'.
