In the prologue race, the top 2 were Laura Daniel and Claire Ward in the Women' and Matt Crane and Alan Bogle in the Men's.

[nope] young team member Laura Daniel put in 2 good runs to finish second in here first big race as W21, while Mats Troeng ran and incredible race to post the fastest time on the chase to pull up from 10th to 3rd place. Murray Strain also ran a good race in the chase to post the secong fastest time and pull him up about 20 positions. The men's race was closely contested, with roughly 1 min between 1st and 3rd, even on two longer than usual races.

The area was said to be very bad for brambles with all competitors coming back cut to pieces. The prologue race was very rough, but the second was much faster, with a large percentage of runners posting sub 5 mins/km times.

The prize of a lovely [nope] t shirt for best non-GB Squad performance went to Pippa Whitehouse.
