6day::recycling all the way
Scottish 6-Day Event 2005 – Royal Deeside
Recycling
A comprehensive recycling service will be provided at the event campsite and at all six events. We are grateful to Aberdeenshire Council for their cooperation in providing this service. We look to all orienteers to make appropriate use of these facilities and help to reduce the environmental impact of the event.
Events
Bins for recycling will be placed in and around the assembly areas. If the weather is wet and heavy vehicles cannot access the fields, the recycling facilities will be positioned at the entrance / exit to the parking / assembly field.
Bins will be provided for plastic, cans, paper, cardboard, glass and textiles.
Please note that there will be no bins or bags for non-recyclable rubbish. Please take this away with you and dispose of it appropriately.
If the recycling facilities are full please take your rubbish to the nearest Aberdeenshire Council Recycling Point and dispose of it there. These are positioned in each town in Deeside, and well sign-posted.
Campsite
Full recycling facilities will be provided in both camping fields, and at the social marquee.
Bins will be provided for plastic, cans, paper, cardboard, glass and textiles.
If the recycling facilities are full please take your rubbish to the nearest Aberdeenshire Council Recycling Point and dispose of it there. They are positioned in each town in Deeside, and well sign-posted.
