csc::aire and ebor in final
After a wait of over 2 months due to postponement, the Yorkshire round of the Compass Sport Cup has finally taken place. Thank you to the EBOR organising team who were right in cancelling the event when it was due to take place, and for fitting the event into an already full fixture list.
AIRE were the victors of the event, but having won the final last year, runners-up EBOR also qualify for the final. There were some impressive wins for Tim Tett, winning the Blue Mens course by 8 minutes, and Barrie Speake who won the Green Mens by the same margin. There was some fierce competition on the Brown course where a number of elite runners battled it out, Duncan Archer winning by 1 minute from Mike Sprot (with Rob Baker having posted the fastest time but missing a control). Jenny Whitehead won the Blue Womens course by nearly 4 minutes from World Cup team-mate Rachael Elder.
Class winners were:
Orange – George Stevens AIRE
