The University of Manchester and the non-existent O-club

Whether you have applied to Manchester, are thinking of applying there or even if you are a present student at the University and longing of an orienteering club to snatch you up, then here is some valuable news.
Manchester and District Orienteering Club (MDOC), one of the largest, oldest and most prosperous orienteering clubs in the country knows that there is no orienteering club at the University (yet!) and is offering its many services to the student population.
You could take a ride in our own club minibus (complete with go-faster stripes) to events with other club members. On a good day, we go to the pub afterwards! There is a student rate for minibus travel.
MDOC has just purchased some new kit which you could be running around in soon if you join us! It’s Trimtex…and a little tight on the old beer belly but who cares! The committee is discussing new members rates and student prices for the new kit at present.
We have biannual socials where the beer is cheap, the food is good and the music is live! I won’t start to describe the Manchester night-life but it is THE place to be for students – a fantastic night out!
And of course now forgetting the main part…the orienteering! Manchester is situated next door to the Peak District which offers superb orienteering! We are not 2 hours drive from the Lakes! The minibus goes to all local events so if you want to get involved at University with this club, please don’t hesitate to call the below numbers.
