The Men’s Premier relay saw Edinburgh University in dominant form as they fielded 2 very strong teams to claim 1st AND 2nd place, with SYO in 3rd. This may be the first time ever that a club has claimed the top 2 places in a major relay (can anyone confirm this?) The winning team of Dan Halliday, Mark Nixon and newly crowned Scottish champion Oleg Chepelin finished 2 minutes ahead of club mates James Tullie, Duncan Coombs and Murray Strain. Things certainly look promising for the students in the Harvester relay in a fortnight’s time.

Meanwhile, in the Women’s Premier CLOK continued their impressive form by winning in some style. Karen Heppenstall, Aislinn Austin and Pippa Whitehouse finished some way clear of MAROC, with Edinburgh Univerisy in 3rd.
