soa :: 11 person relay*
EUOC have returned after the summer and taken another title. This time it was the 11 person relay title which was being held in Achlean in Speyside. The relay is all about getting the tactics right, new EUOC captain Ross Sanderson had that task and he got it right as Oleg Cheplin was left on last leg with just 45sec to catch FVO's Fraser Purves. Oleg cruised home with a few minutes to spare. FVO took 2nd spot with Clyde taking 3rd spot.
Due to some confusion regarding the handicap system in place for the 11 person relay, the Clyde Destroyers have handed over the handicap trophy to FVO. FVO should've received the trophy in the 1st instance but a team member did not report to registration with their finish time to be manually recorded. This meant that FVO looked like they were disqualified on the manual results and hence did not get the handicap trophy initially. The error has since been fixed and FVO take home the Handicap trophy as well as the runners up spot.
ShUOC, up for a weeks training, took the trophy for best placed team from south of the border.
Full results will be found on the EckO site soon...
